Macmillan Cancer Support, Citizens Advice Worcester and Wyre Forest Citizens Advice are working in partnership to deliver welfare benefits advice specifically for people affected by cancer. This is the first dedicated welfare benefits advice service available to people who are diagnosed with cancer each year in Worcestershire.
Nearly all cancer patients suffer some loss of income or increased expenditure as a result of their diagnosis which can make this difficult time even more stressful.
The service can help clients with benefit entitlement, filling in forms, appealing benefit award decisions and charitable grants.
